I got Steve Franck in to take some shots to use to promote my work as an artist as well as capture some high-definition shots of the artwork itself. Steve’s natural warmth and professionalism immediately put me at ease, allowing me to relax and focus on my everyday production process whilst Steve melted away into the background capturing me in my flow state unhindered. His magic as a photographer is yes, all the expert photographic skills but more so capturing the essence of and spirit of my creative process. I loved loved loved the shots!

The Dorchester Hotel

A large commission for The Dorchester Hotel – the commission is part of an extensive curation of British-only artists, with artwork celebrating the theme of ‘beauty in the natural world’. Cluster of Gold is one of three butterfly compositions used in all suites and penthouse suites – tying the colour palette of the artwork with the colour scheme of the fixtures and fittings of the suites.

Artbox Project Zurich + Faunart

Happy to be a part of ARTBOX.PROJECT Zurich 1.0 this year – As a Semi-Finalist! It will be one of the largest in the Artbox series and is being held in its hometown of Zurich. Judged by a jury that consists of 15 people of different backgrounds – from art lovers and business people to gallery owners and art experts. The artwork ‘Surge’ will be digitallyexhibited on a screen 2m x 2m in the time-honoured SBB event hall under the huge sculpture “NANA” by Niki de Saint Phalle. With over 80,000 visitors daily, it is one of the most visited places in Switzerland. This means that over half a million visitors will see the artworks throughout the entire exhibition period!

Grosvenor Casinos + Faunart

A bespoke edition of ‘Surge’ for The Barracuda Casino in the west end of London. Produced as part of internal refurbishment and rebrand for Rank owned Grosvenor Casinos. The artwork has been positioned in the welcome area of the basement club. The client wanted a feature that draws attention to The Barracudas marine-themed name. The basement, having no natural light, invited the idea of an artwork that had both a playfulness and reflective quality. The artwork shimmers when moving past and picks up on any of the environmental colours that surround the piece.

Affordable Art Fair – 2018

I will be showing my new piece ‘Pulsation’, the artwork captures over 1000 printed starlings, individually cut and pinned off a light sky background in a familiar and awe inspiring cloud like aerobatic display.

Liberty + Faunart

Liberty is an iconic London store situation at the heart of the city, with an impressive distinctive mock-Tudor frontage on Great Malborough Street.

On founding the business in 1900 century Arthur Lasenby Liberty made a commitment to offer inspirational, impeccably made goods and services drawn from all over the world. As a Royal Warrant holder dedicated to quality, Arthur Liberty also set out to forge strong relationships with British designers and artists, most famously the protagonists of the Art Noveau movement.

Henceforward Liberty championed the arts and created fashion rather than followed it. Promoting small designers and makers from the early days, Liberty set a distinctive approach to its retail offer, and by acting as patron made art fundamental to the customer experience and lifestyle offer. As Oscar Wilde said, “Liberty is the chosen resort of the artistic shopper”.

Artistically the store grounded itself in its promotion of the Arts & Crafts movement, and the designs of its best-known protagonist William Morris, championing the movement’s visual language of flora and fauna, and belief in small scale, hand-made and honest construction. Ever since Liberty has held true to its traditions and in recent years it began to host annual “Open Call” events, these giving designers an opportunity to present their designs or products to the Liberty panel for consideration for the store.

The work the store does in promoting emerging artists and designers alongside major brands is fundamental. Looking at the brand directory of Liberty, one realises they all began with a creative vision. Given the nature of my work, it is not surprising then that I hold a deep respect for Liberty, and have found inspiration in its history and the way it holds tradition close while ever being forward thinking.

It was, therefore, an enormous honour when they approached me to say they had seen my work and thought it would fit in well with all they represent. The store then took in a range of work, from smaller pieces to larger creations and you can see the pieces that are exclusively available via Liberty in the Gallery section of this website.

Liberty’s recognition of my work has provided invaluable impetus to develop and expand my ideas further. New pieces are in development and will be published on this site as they are completed, for purchase or commission. If you would like to receive notification of new work please contact me.
