A murmuration of starlings in an amazing sight – thousands of birds gather at dusk, moving in synchronicity, creating fluid, pulsating shapes in the sky above your head.
It is a mesmerising display, a natural choreography on a breath-taking scale.
In this piece, I have captured one small section of a large display.
The starlings are printed onto metallic card, adding an atmospheric, reflective quality to the piece. Each starling is individually pinned off a black background.
The frame is black MDF.
